Major Gift Officer - College of Law The University of Toledo Foundation seeks an experienced Major Gift Officer for the College of Law. Based out of the Office of Advancement and with direct reporting to the Associate Vice President of Development, the Major Gift Officer for the College of Law is an integral member of the Foundation’s Development team in support of the Foundation’s mission, vision and growth. The Major Gift Officer is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and closing potential donors capable of gifting at a defined major gift level for the College of Law. This position will maintain a portfolio of qualified prospective donors with an emphasis on gifts of $100,000 or greater. The selected individual will work with the Dean of the College of Law to develop long-term funding opportunities that support the strategic plan. This position will work cooperatively with the Office of Alumni Relations to coordinate alumni-related activities for the College of Law alumni and develop an external communications plan to provide the Dean opportunities to meet groups of donors in a variety of settings. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 4-7 years of professional fundraising experience, ideally in higher education or in an environment where the candidate has had significant experience working with individual donors through the entire cultivation, solicitation and stewardship process for major gifts.
